New project!
Drink in South Africa!A brand new Spirits distribution company based in South Africa asked us to create their identity. A simple celebration of colour and shapes represented through the house painting of the Ndebele tribes led us to this route. Man-made shapes with bold strokes shout fun and positivity. The tradition of the woman of the family painting the home shows to other villagers her skill and pride in up-keeping her family. The tradition is historical and symbolic but the effect is modern and fun.
With shapes also reflected in the South African flag, this route is the most distinctively South African. By creating our own, modern interpretation of this style we can own the symbol for WB Cape. Here we use the King Protea flower, the National flower of South Africa, in a Ndebele, geometrical style to create a visual language adaptable to so many types of expression and with a proud family, story to tell. |
